With ties to top Pentagon officials Paul Wolfowitz and Douglas Feith, the analyst was assigned to a unit within the Defense Department tasked with helping develop the Pentagon's Iraq policy.

At the heart of the investigation are two people who work at The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), a powerful pro-Israel lobby in Washington, who allegedly received classified documents from the individual at the Pentagon before passing them on to Israel.

A spokesman for the Israeli Embassy, David Siegel, denied the accusations of espionage. "They are completely false and outrageous," he said.

"The United States is Israel's most cherished friend and ally," Mr. Siegel said. "We have a strong ongoing relationship at all levels, and in no way would Israel do anything to impair this relationship."

Paul Wolfowitz, Douglas Feith, the AIPAC perps, and (presumably) the Pentagon spy(s) are all Jews. The time is nigh that the mainstream media refer to them as such, especially with this developing story, where it seems so illogical and foolish not to state the obvious. Only when this blatant truth finally comes into focus for the average person will he see clearly enough to draw the rational conclusions required for a much needed large scale change in consciousness.

While the timeline was being constructed, the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee released its 511-page report on why we went to war against Iraq. The report concludes that the major reasons the Bush administration gave to justify the war were baseless. Most of the blame is placed on the CIA, but, as Senator Jay Rockefeller noted, the report does not explain the environment of intense pressure in which intelligence officials were asked to render judgments on Iraq, when policy officials had already forcefully stated their own conclusions in public. This part of the committee’s investigation is expected later this year, most likely after the November presidential elections.

Our timeline aims to fill the gap left in the Senate Committee’s report. Recognizing that the information was wrong is one thing; acknowledging how and why it was wrong is quite another — and too important to leave for post-November 2 reading.

The joining of hands across America's illusory political divide has a long history. The native Americans were slaughtered, the Philippines laid to waste and Cuba and much of Latin America brought to heel with "bipartisan" backing. The real impediment to new thinking in the Middle East, in Edward Said's view, was not Arafat, or Sharon, or even the suicide bombers or the ultras of the settlements. It was the United States. The one place where official Israeli propaganda has succeeded beyond measure, and where Palestinian propaganda has utterly failed, is in America. As Said observed in a May 2002 column for Al-Ahram, American Jews (rather like Arab politicians) live in "extraordinary self-isolation in fantasy and myth." Many Israelis are terribly aware of what occupation of the West Bank and Gaza has done to their own society (if somewhat less sensitive to its effect on others). In the words of Haim Guri, an Israeli poet who served in the 1948 war, "Rule over another nation corrupts and distorts Israel's qualities, tears the nation apart, and shatters society." But most Americans, including virtually every American politician, have no sense of any of this.

Israeli Envoy Vexed by Role of U.S. Jews in France
The growing involvement of American Jewish groups in nascent pro-Israel lobbying efforts in France is fueling concerns of a possible backlash among some French Jewish leaders and Israeli officials.

In a letter to the Israeli Foreign Ministry two months ago, Israel 's ambassador to France, Nissim Zvili, warned about the potential negative consequences if American Jewish groups are perceived as seeking to influence French politics, the Forward has learned.

Several French Jewish leaders are echoing Zvili's concerns that any perception of American Jewish money bankrolling politicians in France at a time when anti-American and anti-Israel feelings are in vogue would eventually harm French Jews.

Treblinka to Get Museum
The government of Poland is planning to establish a museum at the Treblinka death camp, a senior Polish government official said.

The museum, which will be set up in coordination with Yad Vashem, is slated to open in about two years, said the chairman of the Polish Council for the Remembrance of Struggle and Martyrdom, Andrzej Przewoznik, in an interview with The Jerusalem Post during a state visit to Israel.

About 870,000 people were [supposedly] murdered at Treblinka, which was established by the Nazis in the summer of 1942.

There is no documentary evidence that Treblinka was an extermination center. In fact, contemporary records suggest that the camp had a very different function.

Aerial reconnaissance photographs taken in 1944 of the Treblinka "death camp" site — and forgotten for almost 45 years in the National Archives in Washington, DC — cast serious doubts on the widely accepted story that it was a mass extermination center.

Discovered in 1989, and published here for the first time in the United States, these German reconnaissance photos corroborate other evidence indicating that Treblinka was actually a transit camp.

Treblinka Ground Radar Examination Finds No Trace of Mass Graves
For six days in October 1999, an Australian team headed by Richard Krege, a qualified electronics engineer, carried out an examination of the soil at the site of the former Treblinka II camp in Poland, where, Holocaust historians say, more than half a million Jews were put to death in gas chambers and then buried in mass graves.

They found no soil disturbance consistent with the burial of hundreds of thousands of bodies, or even evidence that the ground had ever been disturbed. In addition, Krege and his team found no evidence of individual graves, bone remains, human ashes, or wood ashes.

Lampshade a WWII Mystery
The brown, textured lampshade has been the talk of this small hamlet in Nelson County, and most people seem to think it genuine — a true reminder of the Nazi horrors of the second world war. “I tell you, it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen,” said one believer, Shirley Allen. Tales of such ghastly shades have circulated for decades. They stemmed, in part, from considerable newspaper coverage after WWII about human lampshades made at Buchenwald concentration camp.

But Diane Saltzman, director of the collections division of the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., is highly skeptical that the shade is human skin. Despite the reports, not one has been found.

“None of the lampshades that have surfaced over the past 50 years have ever turned out to be real,” Saltzman said. “There is no proof that this practice has ever occurred.”
