A New Year Greeting
Dear Friend,
From all of us at the Institute for Historical Review, best wishes of this joyous season! May the new year bring happiness and fulfillment to you and your loved ones.
We've received so many cordial Christmas and New Year's messages in recent weeks that it's not been possible to respond to each and every one of them. So please excuse this somewhat impersonal way of expressing our greetings and appreciation.
It is only thanks to the generous and loyal support of friends like you from every part of America and from around the world that we can look back on a productive year.
Some highlights:
In spite of logistical difficulties, our conference in Sacramento was a resounding success. In addition to those who attended, many thousands have listened to the talks there through the audio archive page on our website.
We're also pleased with the success of our IHR meetings in northern Virginia and in southern California.
Our numerous radio appearances during the past year have reached many hundreds of thousands of people, on stations in the US and overseas, as well as through the internet.
Traffic on the IHR website by far our most important way of reaching people more than doubled in 2004, reaching a record 471,953 hits in October.
Our "IHR News & Comment" e-mail service continues to grow, attracting an ever greater number of subscribers. (To subscribe, drop a line to [email protected])
An IHR display ad for our attractive edition of The Founding Myths of Modern Israel appeared in the May 3 issue of The Nation, an influential public affairs weekly. The illustrated ad generated media attention for the IHR, and highlighted the hypocritical double standard on free speech that pervades the supposedly "liberal" media.
As part of our ongoing effort to keep the IHR name in the public, and reach new people, we ran a similar display ad for The Founding Myths in the main section of the daily Washington Times, December 5 and 6, which featured our name in block letters and our website address.
A new IHR leaflet, "Iraq: A War for Israel?," has just been issued. (The text is posted on our site.) This is the latest in our series of popular flyers, which are ideal for mass distribution.
With your continued loyal support, we'll make 2005 an even more productive year.
Please consider a new year donation to the IHR.
To make a secure online credit card donation, click on our site's "Support" page.
Remember: Your donation to the IHR is a cost-effective weapon in the global struggle for truth, freedom and peace. In spite of our small size, we have a powerful impact. Your contribution which is completely tax-deductible hits the enemies of truth and freedom where they're most vulnerable.
Even modest donations of 25 or 50 dollars help a lot to sustain our work and outreach.
And whether or not you are able to help financially, please recommend our website and our free News & Comment e-mail service to your friends.
Best wishes,
Mark Weber
